Like any thriving community, fostering connections and nurturing relationships are vital to creating a strong, supportive, and engaged environment where everyone feels valued and included. At ASM, we encourage parents to actively participate in ASM’s PACE (Parent Association Community Effort) as a means to achieve this.
Every family with a student at ASM is a PACE member, and they are warmly welcomed to attend all the events organized by PACE. However, being involved goes beyond attending events; parents have the opportunity to contribute their skills, time, and talents to help plan and run these events. By doing so, parents set a positive example for others, encouraging them to become engaged and dedicated members of ASM as well. The generous contribution of time significantly helps in building a strong, close-knit community.
To learn more about PACE and the numerous events it sponsors, parents are invited to attend the monthly Parent Coffee Meetup and Meetings right after the All-School Meeting. ASM’s website is a great resource for more information as well as our weekly e-newsletter (TIP), which provides details on upcoming events.
Another way to get involved in our community is by attending the All-School Meetings held on Friday mornings throughout the school year. These meetings are a delightful way to end each week on a positive note as we come together to celebrate various aspects of our school community. As we recognize each other’s birthdays, applaud student presentations and accomplishments, and sing together, we are reminded of our place within a larger community. These moments highlight the importance of valuing and appreciating one another.
