Before School Care Teacher

Andover School of Montessori is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Before School Care team for the 2025-2026 school year. The hours are 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. In this role, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and nurturing environment that includes an assortment of materials, games, and activities suitable for a multi-aged group. Candidates should have experience working with children, a friendly disposition, and strong communication skills. Hourly rate: $20. Children’s House Lead Teacher Maternity Leave

Andover School of Montessori is seeking a full-time substitute to cover a maternity leave position in one of our Children’s House classrooms. The position will last from August 24 to December 22. Qualified candidates must be Montessori (AMS or AMI) 3-6 certified, with at least 2-3 years of experience as a lead teacher in a Montessori classroom. Candidates should have a passion for working with young children, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, a commitment to thinking flexibly, and technical fluency.  This role is part of a warm, friendly, collaborative community. You will work closely alongside an experienced assistant teacher and be supported by colleagues who value teamwork and shared Montessori principles.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Acclimating new students to the classroom at the beginning of the year
  • Following routines and plans set in place for the class by the Lead Teacher
  • Attending weekly Faculty meetings
  • Regular check-ins with parents
  • Fall Parent Teacher Conferences
  • Winter Progress Reports

Spanish Teacher

Andover School of Montessori is seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time Spanish Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond. The ideal candidate will teach classes for first grade through grade seven in a Montessori setting. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Spanish language, education, or a related field; native or near-native proficiency in Spanish; prior experience teaching Spanish, preferably in a Montessori environment; a deep understanding and appreciation of the Montessori philosophy and educational approach; the ability to develop engaging and culturally enriching Spanish lessons for students of varying proficiency levels; and excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students and colleagues. As the Spanish Teacher, you will have the opportunity to introduce students to the Spanish language and Hispanic culture through immersive and experiential learning experiences. Hourly rate is $36. Substitute Teachers

We are seeking enthusiastic substitute teachers for preschool through grade 8 for the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates should have completed some college coursework, with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and have some experience working with children. Summer Program Teacher

ASM is seeking part-time and full-time summer staff to join our 2026 Summer Program team working with our Pre-K/Kindergarten students. This is an hourly position. Responsibilities might include supporting students from 2.9-6 years old during work time in the classroom, overseeing crafts and games, and assisting with lunch, recess, nap, and extended day care.  Candidates should be comfortable and experienced with this young age group; exhibiting patience, flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to uphold safety guidelines set in place by the school. Lead teacher weekly rate is $1,500, Assistant teacher hourly rate is $19, lunch/recess/nap/extended day teacher hourly rate is $18.
