At Andover School of Montessori, our co-curricular programs empowers students beyond the classroom to explore passions, foster leadership, and engage meaningfully in the life of our school community. Through thoughtfully designed activities and self-directed opportunities, students develop agency, voice, and the habits of independent learners.

Enrichment Program

Our vibrant After School Enrichment Program is held from 3:30–4:30 p.m. throughout the school year. Open to students across all program levels, our enrichment classes invite children to explore new interests or deepen skills they already enjoy. Many of our outstanding instructors partner with us from respected community organizations and businesses, bringing expertise in athletics, visual and performing arts, academics, science and technology, and more. Each session features a fresh selection of courses designed to spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and inspire joyful learning.

Student Council

Our Student Council is the gateway to student leadership and governance. Members across grade levels collaborate on identifying school-wide themes, organizing community service initiatives, crafting spirit days, and representing the student body in conversations with our administration. Council participants develop consensus-building, project-management, and public-speaking skills.

Yearbook Committee

The Yearbook Committee brings the stories of the school year to life. Students serve as layout designers, editors, and storytellers. They gather images and reflections from across divisions, plan special features, and produce a keepsake that captures our community’s journey. Committee roles foster creativity, collaboration, digital-media fluency, and a lasting legacy for our school.

In keeping with Montessori principles, students select pathways aligned with their individual interests, pace, and strengths. Whether pursuing a passion independently, collaborating in a small team, or leading a school-wide project, each child has active voice and meaningful choice. Through enrichment, student council, and yearbook work, students step into leadership roles, hone creative problem-solving, and contribute tangibly to the life of the school. They emerge not just as learners, but as contributors, collaborators, and community-builders.
